Jeff Stevens: RHP Age: 24
Pitcher:
Reliever
Acquired: From CIN for INF Brandon Philips
2007 Kinston/Akron: 6-3, 83.1 Innings, 2.81 ERA, 102 Strikeouts, 2 SV
2008 Team: Buffalo
ETA: 2008 Sept Call-up/2009

Low to mid-90s fast ball, Change, Un-known Breaking Ball

Strength is throwing his fastball down in the zone. He strikes a lot of people out and his strikeout to walk ratio is fantastic. He throws strikes and isn’t afraid to challenge a hitter and make them hit his pitch.

Stevens sudden emergence after moving to the bullpen has him on the fast-track to the major leagues. Like Mujica he has a chance to figure into the bullpen equation if spots open up, He will start the year at Buffalo and could earn a late season call-up and be a really deep bullpen option this year. His improvement has been a steady upward movement since the beginning of 2007.

Notes: The Player to Be Named Later in the Brandon Philips Deal, Pitched for Team USA in Fall of 2007 and saved the title clinching game, Starter 07 at Kinston in the bullpen after starting in Spring Training
