Thanks to the season jeopardizing injury to Yankee Ace Chien-Ming Wang, the Sabathia to Yankees chatter is getting even louder.

Let me repeat, it is just chatter.

MLBTradeRumors rounded up all the news.

First: Scouts were present at the game yesterday to watch C.C. pitch. Teams that were represented are unknown.

Second: The Yankees interest has increased. I don't know how this Tyler Kepner guy knows that, but apparently he does.

Third: Totally not related to the Yankees, but Dayn Perry dreamed up an offer for the Cardinals to try and get Sabathia.

Fourth: Nick Cafardo is the one sane person in the room.

First, great for the scouts. Scout him all you want.

Second, I have nothing to say about a journalist speaking for the Yankee organization. Certainly if this Wang injury does in fact become season ending, like it appears to be now, then of course the Yankees might want Sabathia more.

Third, let it be known that looks as if it is a feature Perry does, as a "Dream Blockbuster". It has no chance of happening.

I'm starting to understand the frustration with people year in and year out about trade rumors. This team isn't out of contention yet, and their recent run here suggests that they have a lot left in the tank.

It's frustrating to read these right now, I won't lie. But, I firmly believe that this team has enough to get back in the race to squash the rumors.

I hope the team is taking all these whispers into mind when they are playing. I'm pretty sure while they don't read blogs or websites about them, they hear the murmurs. If I was a player, I'd be doing my best to get these bad thoughts out of the media's mind.

But now, if I can be hypocritical. It would be reasonable to think the Pirates want to deal Xavier Nady, considering Jason Bay and Nate McLouth are playing well, and they have a hot prospect waiting in the wings. Jason Michaels has done nothing but contribute since arriving and Nady is also a Boras client. They could trade Nady even if they are in contention to reach that .500 mark.

Take this in mind. If the Pirates are not happy with Freddy Sanchez, he has two years left on his deal at a very cheap rate and he could be the answer at third base next year until Wes Hodges is ready. These are just random thoughts in my mind, so don't take anything from them. But if the Pirates were willing to deal both Nady and Sanchez to us, we could be that much better this year and solve a problem next year. t

And remember.. That is pure dreaming and thinking on my part.. None of that is even a rumor at this point. Just idle talk from my weird brain.
