Blackburn plays Houdini in Tribe Loss

Nick Blackburn is almost magician like against the Tribe. For some reason he just seems to work his hocus pocus magic and escape a jam.

Out hit-Can't out score: Simply put.. They out-hit the Twins, but couldn't put them all together for some scoring.

Blackburn simply got a lot of double plays and some lucky bounces. Including a excellent throw to get Franklin Gutierrez on a double by Jamey Carroll.

Grady Sizemore brought the Tribe within one with a three run jack. That followed a Kelly Shoppach solo shot in the 6th inning. The Indians just didn't have the steady pitching to back them up.

Byrd was bad tonight.. He has these games, but it surprising to see it against the Twins, a team he has owned in the past, and especially last year.

Three innings tonight, five earned..

The bullpen was just nails though.. Elarton went 3 solid, Bauer and Betancourt pitched scoreless innings. Unfortunately Joe Borowski was brought in during a non-save situation.. So you know what that means.. 2 runs for him.. I don't understand why Eric Wedge does that. He should have gotten the picture now that Jumpin' Joe feeds off the energy of a save situation, and this right here down a run doesn't do anything for him.

Jamey Carroll had three hits, and an RBI. Grady had the three RBI of course, and Shoppach had one.

Shoppach came in for Victor Martinez, who left the game in the 1st with elbow inflammation. Also an update on Barfield. He pinch ran tonight but said he can't bend his finger. Wedge said if he doesn't take BP tomorrow, he could go to the DL. Not cool, but let's hope for the best.

Tomorrow, we try and win the series.. We need it very bad... AL Rookie of the Month Aaron Laffey takes on Livan Hernandez.

Also.. You may have noticed the layout change around here.. I have a widescreen laptop, and I think the other one was just killing my eyes. Plus this one is much bigger and lets me put everything on the right side rather than the bottom. I can also use videos more often now.
