There are two things non-baseball related that I need to say.. Which would total three today if you count me saying I was glad the clocks turned forward last night because I wanted the weekend to be over.
Another reason is because there is absolutely nothing on television Sunday afternoon. Is it any wonder they put baseball and football on at these times? How do we survive during the months of February and March? I mean, hockey? Yeah okay, I love hockey but if the Pens aren't playing, I'd much rather watch Spongebob.
Spongebob is my go-to show when nothing is on too. I mean I'm not ashamed to say that the yellow rectangle under the sea is the man and someone I idolize, but it should be a last resort.
That isn't even on right now! That's why I've saved up episodes of Heroes for these occasions. Too bad I watched them all last night.
Second... If you are in Ohio you know what kind of rain is falling right now. It's been falling since yesterday I think, non-stop. It's funny because my mom likes those TCM and AMC channels and this morning My Fair Lady, the movie, Pygmalion, the play in case you read it was on TV. Not the newer one that I watched, which you would have no clue what I'm talking about.
But that phrase, The Rain in Spain Falls Mainly in the Plain was like said right when I walked by.
Sort of like reminding me that hey the weather sucks and you don't have anything on television.
The Indians game starts in two hours, I might read while I listen to the game. That would solve a lot of issues.
There are lineups out though and I know you care about those more than my issues.
DH Grady Sizemore, 2B Jamey Carroll, 3B Jhonny Peralta, 1B Ryan Garko, C Kelly Shoppach, LF David Dellucci, RF Stephen Head, CF Trevor Crowe, SS Wilson Valdez.
Remember Travis Hafner will be getting two DH at-bats, so yes, he'll be technically the leadoff hitter at some point. I think Wedge purposely did that so Grady wouldn't end up hitting third. Suckers.
Kirk Saarloos is on the mound to face the team he's played the majority of his major league career with, the Oakland Athletics.
It's sort of an off-day for pitchers... I mean if you can really count Tomo Ohka in the competition, or Richie Rundles, I guess.. But no one of extereme interest pitching aside from Jensen Lewis. It would be nice to see Kobayashi not suck. Here's who scheduled to follow Saarloos though: Jensen Lewis, Rich Rundles, Masa Kobayashi, Hector Rondon, Ryan Edell and Tomo Okha.
Mortal Enemy Numero Uno of this site, JACK FREAKING CUST, is in the lineup. Kill him.
Anyway, enjoy the rain and your Sunday afternoon with no television. I sure as hell am not.

All I want to focus on after another Spring Training pummeling is 2 innings of shutout relief by Hector Rondon, 3 hits (total) from Trevor Crowe and Michael Brantley, an RBI double from Travis, another good outing by Jenson Lewis and Jhonny Peralta's batting average.
