The Rafael Betancourt Cap Counter

You may have noticed that lovely little thing on the side bar with Rafael Betancourt.

Have you ever noticed how many times the guy touches his hat?

Seriously... He touches it at least 5 times between each pitch, maybe more.

Well it's time to get a semi-official count.

I realize this may be extremely difficult, but it's a task that is going to be undertaken because I need to know how many times he touches his hat during a season.

Why?

Who the hell knows, I'm intrigued.

It won't be easy.. He won't always be on camera, so we'll inevitably miss touches and there might be days that I miss a game he pitches in, but we'll make due.

So that's this cap counter is there and that's the reason I'm doing it. It's a lot more challenging and far more funnier than the Ben Francisco watch, which was totally lame.

Not that this isn't lame that is.
