It hit me in the last start.

And my worst thoughts were confirmed today.

Fausto Carmona is broke.

And he needs fixed.

Like he's really broke.

Not like Rafael Perez, quick call-down, quick fixings type of a broke.

Like broke and he needs a big time reality check.

Popular opinion, on radio and television, from what I've heard, because I've heard them both since the game started.

Send him down.

I have no choice to agree with that... He needs to go down now and fix himself where he cannot do any damage to this major league team. He's not throwing strikes and when he does, they are fat beach balls that Jason Kubel is knocking into centerfield.

He's throwing garbage balls right now and it isn't working because he has no confidence, no desire, no nothing. He feels helpless. Get him down there and let him fix himself where it isn't putting our bullpen and offense in stupid positions.

And I hate to say it... But just throw Tomo Ohka into the starting role.

You may slash my hands off for saying such a stupid thing, but at least he's throwing strikes and at least he gives us a shot.

It isn't long before Jake Westbrook will be back, hopefully and along those lines, hopefully if they do send Fausto Carmona down, it wouldn't be for a long time.

Also...

I got roped into watching All Bets are Off, because Bruce was in one of his moods with this silly loss.

And a caller suggested Tom Glavine, who was just released.

I'm all for it at this point. He's going to get paid whatever the Braves were going to pay him, it's not like he'll want Pedro money at this point. Take a chance for peanuts and maybe it works out.

I don't know if the American League is a great option for the older lefties dipping velocity. But damnit what else do we have at this point? Tomo Ohka?

Carl Pavano and Cliff Lee are the only two pitchers pulling their weight around. They either start or end streaks, but Fausto and everyone else are ending them or preventing them.

It has to stop...

His ERA is ballooned up to 7.42 in 60 Innings. He's walked 41 hitters compared to 36 strikeouts.

I will say this though.

Carmona is not a bum and he isn't "done."

Seriously, let's not jump to "let's dump his ass" conclusions.

Send him down, let's see what he can work out in Triple-A, because that's the option the Indians have now.

I really got nothing else... I'm in the process of writing up a big thing on the state of the Indians, for here and everywhere else on the web to read.... Coming soon, very soon. Like in the next-day soon. For now, the Chicago and KC games are going to be huge. Interleague play restarts a week from tomorrow and if the Indians aren't in a better position, things could get away if one team benefits from facing National League teams.

On a final note, if you've been wondering what is up with the announcing crew right now and why Jim Rosenhaus was doing the game yesterday and AlTV was doing it today, it's because Matt Underwood had to leave to be by the side of his ailing mother, who unfortunately passed away. Condolences go out to the Underwood family and Matt at this time and hopefully he's back doing games very soon.

Because on a lighter note, as pointed out by a very astute e-mailer to ABAO, The Indians are 0-4 when Al Pawlowski calls the game. I still love ya Al.
