Well.. As it says, they aren't on twitter, so the number of Indians on twitter hasn't grown again, but their spring training invite list is.

A press release that went out about 45 minutes ago says that the Indians have invited three more players, in addition to Jason Grilli, to Spring Training.

The three new players, Brian Buscher, Luis Rodriguez and Mike Gosling.

We obviously know Gosling as he finished the year with the Indians and is actually on the Columbus Clipper roster as we speak after he was outrighted off the 40 man and went unclaimed.

The other two are interesting.

Luis Rodriguez is 29 and played for San Diego last. He is an infielder who can basically play the three spots we would need someone to play as a utility infield. He clearly is being brought in for that. Rodriguez may be recognizable to those of you who remember him as a Twin for three years.

Brian Buscher is 28 and as we should be familiar with, he too played with Minnesota. He came over to the Twins via the Rule V draft and he's interesting. Buscher can play some first base, so this is no doubt some more insurance to Matt LaPorta's injury. He'll probably compete with Andy Marte if either is to earn a roster spot, which will MOST DEFINITELY be up for grabs if LaPorta cannot start the season at first base.

So interesting.. We bring back a retread from last year and three very interesting names. I know this is what we're reduced to, thinking names like Brian Buscher are interesting... But hey this team isn't going to spend a lot of money and their fixes are going to be players like Brian Buscher.
